Characteristics of the La Rambla district

La Rambla is the symbol of Barcelona and the origin of the word comes from the Arabic raml, which means sand. Places of interest

The Palau de la Virreina is a baroque-style building built at the end of the 18th century by the architect Carles Grau and declared a national monument in 1941. Today it is the headquarters of the Barcelona Department of Culture and almost always hosts a free photography or art exhibition. The Palau Güell. Located on a small side street, a few meters from the famous boulevard, is the Palau Güell, one of Gaudí's first works.
